This sample works correctly calling Chrome (even when I copy the code into MS Word). I clicked the link in geocodezip's response. The Notebook I am using runs Windows 7 64bits.
It seems to me that the JavaScript API does not recognise Chrome as the default browser.
When I click an internet link in an e-mail Google Chrome is used (as default browser). When I click "Learn more" I am told that IE 11 is my current browser. The english error message is "You are using a browser that is not supported by the Google Maps JavaScript API.
One of the programs is downloadable from (GMS.NET), the other one came with a GPS logger from Canmore GPS on CD ROM and dates from 2013.īoth show the same behaviour, GMS.NET after clicking the button "Go to location", GPS Photo Tagger right after start up. I changed the default browser to Chrome using the option provided by chrome, but the error still appears. Early 2017 the programs were working correctly. I am using Windows 7 and Internet Explorer 11.0.48. (Translation: The browser you are using is not supported by Google Maps Javascript API. When they load the map, the world map is shown, but an Error message is displayed: "Der von Ihnen verwendete Browser wird von Google Maps Javascript API nicht unterstützt. Super frustrating.I am using two different third party programs (different companies) that apparently use the Google Maps Javascript API.
Granted, they're several years old so maybe Garmin changed something in their software recently to make it impossible for cameras other than VIRB to function properly in their editing software.
It's an mp4 file, the same file type from a VIRB but she said there's other unique things about the file format it reads which is why the GoPro files won't work.Įvery single YouTube tutorial about using Garmin VIRB Edit for cycling data overlays is with a GoPro. "We do not offer any support for third party video files." Great, thanks. This morning I called Garmin Support about the issue and here was my response. So I deleted the software from my computer and downloaded the software again. So next time I tried skipping the optimization step but then the video won't play at all, which means I can't overlay any of the G-Metrix. The videos would not optimize and if I tried to cancel, the software would timeout.
I've been really excited about using Garmin VIRB Edit for cycling data overlays on my races.Īfter I downloaded the software to my 2019 MacBook Pro and then uploaded my GoPro Hero 5 Black footage to VIRB Edit, it kept asking me to optimize the videos. Also weirdly enough for some reason it seems to always record 4 x video clips before failing every time I've tried to use it.Īpparently it has the latest firmware, any idea what's going on? I haven't tried to connect to it with the phone app yet, so it's possible the guy I bought it off had done something weird to the settings but I can't see anything wrong in the menus on the camera itself. Also the video is recorded as 4 x 200-300 MB clips which I thought was quite short. The camera still has power when I get to the end and the record switch is still active, but I only get a few minutes of video. There is still plenty of space on the SD card (32 GB Sandisk ultra), there is still plenty of power in the battery, the bike rides are only 15 minutes long and the gmetrix GPS track has recorded the whole ride.
So far it seems to kinda work, but it has never recorded video for the full duration of a bike ride correctly. I recently got a 2nd hand virb 360 and I've tried to use it a few times for short bike rides.
